Short bio

Dr. Ant Bozkaya is the Marie and Alain Philippson Chair of Global Entrepreneurship and Professor of Management Practice at Solvay School, Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), jointly with a Distinguished Faculty Fellowship at Haas School of the University of California, Berkeley. He is also Mizuho Securities Endowment Visiting Professor at Kyoto University. Over the past decade, Ant has also held multiple academic positions at Harvard University, MIT Sloan School, and the National Bureau of Economic Research. Recently, he joined Stanford University as a guest speaker and mentor for the technology entrepreneurship course at the Management Science and Engineering Program.  Ant has received multiple teaching and research awards. Much of his work examines the ways in which financial intermediaries (private equity and venture capital) and institutional organizations impact the nature of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Ant also works with companies and governments worldwide on the development of new ventures and transformations for sustainable growth. He was founding President and CEO of Bilkent Technology, Healthcare, and Power Group in Turkey. Earlier in his career, Ant held senior positions in management consulting in Sydney and London. He has served as director, advisor, trustee and as board member at several companies and non-profit organizations. Ant was awarded a Harvard University Fellowship to conduct his doctoral studies jointly at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School and holds a PhD (Economics); an MS (Management Science); and an MBA from ULB.
