Monday, 17th of September 2012 – Brussels - Today, the Financial Times (FT) releases its Master in Management ranking for 2012. Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (SBS-EM) is proud to announce it has regained its # 1 spot in Belgium by maintaining itself at the 25th position. IAG-Louvain School of Management is second in Belgium at the 29th position while Vlerick Business School is at the 32nd position and 3rd in Belgium.

The Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management (SBS-EM, of the Université Libre de Bruxelles) is the initiator and one of the Founding Members of the network Master program in Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management (QTEM). The other Founding Members are Universiteit van Amsterdam, Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Université de Lausanne and BI Norwegian Business School.

Le Student Positive Awards 2012, côté francophone, a été décerné à Patricia Diez-Ticio Finana, Bachelor et Master en Sciences Économiques et étudiante sortante de la Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management.

Patricia remporte une compétition à laquelle ont participé des étduiants de l’Université Libre de Bruxelles, l’Université Catholique de Louvain, l’ICHEC, FUNDP Namur, Universiteit Gent, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Katholieke Hogeschool Zuid-West Vlaanderen et Hogeschool Gent.

Benny Vossen, current master student in Business Engineering (Solvay Brussels School of Economics & Management - ULB) and Laura Famelaer (VUB), aka The Conceptors (their team codename) have won the belgian finale of the Henkel Innovation Challenge.

Their surprising product, Syoss Phoenix Repair, a shampoo that accelerates hair regrowth for people who have had to go through chemotherapy, won the challenge against 10 other belgian student team.
